Song of The Day #6: Postcard From Italy by Beirut

A few days had passed or probably a week since my "last song of the day" update. I'm a bit sleepy actually while I was typing this. So, please forgive me for the short update today.

Beirut is an American band which was originally the solo musical project of Santa Fe,New Mexico native Zachary Francis Condon, and later expanded into a band. Their
first performances were in New York in May 2006, to support the release of their debut album, Gulag OrkestarThe music combines elements of Eastern European andBalkan folk with Western pop music, fusing the American mainstream and indie-rockculture and the World Music market. It's an 8 piece band!! Yeah, 8 and that's a lot!!

The song that I'm going to introduce today is a song that was released in the year 2006 in the album, Gulag Orkestar. It has unique sound and ukulele is used in the music!! Right now,I'm into ukulele so much and would like to own one!! XD
So, ENJOY THE SONG!!! and I love all my readers!! <3

Postcard From Italy by Beirut lyrics
The times we had
Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow
Were not all bad
We put our feet just where they had, had to go
Never to go

The shattered soul
Following close but nearly twice as slow
In my good times
There were always golden rocks to throw
At those who admit defeat too late
Those were our times, those were our times

And I will love to see that day
That day is mine
When she will marry me outside with the willow trees
And play the songs we made
They made me so
And I would love to see that day
Her day was mine

Song of The Day #5: Pop Goes The World by Gossip

Hey everyone!! Today so far has treated me well, probably won't be in any position to feel remorse or anything bad. *cross fingers* :D I hope that you guys will have a wonderful day today and I have another treat for all of my readers, yeah you!! *points at you* LOL!!

In the past couple of days, I've been listening to ELECTRONICA music and as for today's song of the day, I will introduce to all of you another electronica kind of music. I first saw the video when Ebuzz showed the video at the end of the show. The first second of the video has a very upbeat tempo that makes me moved my body to the beat. :D A great song for Club Dance type of music.
After doing some research about the band, I found out that the band's formerly known as THE GOSSIP! The difference between the former name and the current name would be without the word THE in front, easy peazyy! It's an american three piece band consist of Beth Ditto as the frontwoman/vocalist, Nathan "Brace Paine" Howdeshell as the guitaris/bassist/pianist and last but not least Hannah Billie as the drummer. Yeah, the drummer is a she and has the coolest almost- bold hairstyle!! Love it!

I fell in love with the band at the first sight cause not only "Pop Goes The World" kick ass but also all the band members are totally unique. I mean what band that has a fat/chubby girl as the frontwoman/vocalist that owns a GREAT VOICE and dance histerically to their song??  I love Beth's hair in the video, very much daring! Fat/chubby girl can knock down a skinny/perfect girl anytime!! :D

Pop Goes The World lyric

Find yourself in a situation
Can't talk your way out of
Stimulate the conversation
How do you rise above
You try to tell some one
But you can't describe it
We'll start a demonstration
Or we'll create a scene
Make noise from our frustration
Newspapers, magazines
We'll turn them on their heads
You can't deny it

For once
We'll do what come naturally
We'll approach it casually
With no apology
For once
We will have the final say
Goodbye to yesterday
'Cause we know we're hear to stay

Pop, pop, pop goes the world
New sensation
Pop, pop, pop goes the world
New creation

Give every generation
A different set of rules
We'll start with TV stations
The radios and schools
Just try to have some fun
And don't get caught
We'll capture their attention
We'll make them quite aware
Of all of our intentions
We'll make 'em stop and stare
They'll take a second look
On second thought

For once
We'll do what come naturally
We'll approach it casually
With no apology
For once
We can have the final say
Goodbye to yesterday
'Cause they know we're hear to stay

Pop, pop, pop goes the world
New salvation
Pop, pop, pop goes the world
New translation
Pop, pop, pop goes the world
New elation
Pop, pop, pop goes the world
New sensation

Gossip makes me feel good about myself, externally :)

Song of The Day #4: Too Fake by Hockey

Hey y'all!!! Yeah, forgive me for not updating frequently. Been busy with uni life and the finals are finally in the house!!!! Fuck that!! I did my 2nd paper today and boy I sucked at it!!! All of the questions are hard, freakishly hard and I almost cried when I got home. I can only hope that I pass the paper so that I won't have to repeat the same subject over again an fuck it if I fail!! God, too much cursing. Should stop talking about the darn exam and start blabbing about the thing that I can't live without, which is my only lover that's so loyal to me, my music!

The song that I'm gonna introduce to all of you is a random song that I just heard a few weeks ago and my sister actually introduced me to it. The song is sooo cool and I really think that I should share it with you guys.
So, the song title is 'Too Fake" performed by Hockey. No, the band doesn't have any relation to the game, Hockey. The band originated from Portland, Oregon. The reason I like the song soo much is because of the upbeat and the vocalist sing very well and suits the overall feel of the song perfectly. I totally love "Look out!! Cause I'm just too fake for the world." part of the lyrics cause it seriously suitable with the vocalist's singing tone! So ignorant but yet very much cool in some ways! :D

"Too Fake" is one of the songs in their EP :Mind Chaos" and "Too Fake" was debuted on March 16, 2009 and is at the 25th place on US Billboard Alternative Song and 49th place on US Billboard Rock Songs!!

Too Fake Lyrics

I'd do anything that I'm told to
I'd even mean it if I'm supposed to
leave me on a little
I go for broke
Leave me on some more
I'd go for the big toke

Everybody's watching oh but nobody cares
Oh wait cause no
Nobody's watching but everybody cares
Oh whatever talk to you later

Chorus
Look out!
Cause I'm just too fake for the world
I know it's just a game to me
I'm just too fake you see
I wish i didn't have to be but watch out
I got too much soul for the world
It's breaking my heart in two
I got too much soul for you
I don't like it but it's true

Get off
I go to church and
I'm expected to be lost soul
They need examples to use
I could stay forever leave right now
It's your call either way
It's time to use my life for myself
(most people just won't tell you that)
I'm gona use my life for someone else, yeah
no wait wait wait wait

Chorus
Look out!
cause i'm just too fake for the world
i know it's just a game to me
i'm just too fake you see
i wish i didn't have to be but watch out
i got too much soul for the world
it's breaking my heart in two
i got too much soul for you
i don't like it but it's true

Hurts right?

but i can't even talk to you
about my effect on people
cause i'm doing the same thing to you
that's right even right now
oh just wait up for me if you want to but

Chorus
Look out, now
i'm just too fake for the world
i know it's just a game to me
i'm just too fake you see
i hope you can forgive me
oh now
Got too much soul for the world
and it's breaking my heart in two
i got too much soul for you
i don't like it but it's true

oh look out now
i'm just too fake for the world
and there's nothing i can do about it
yeah i'm just too fake for you
i don't like it but it's true

Look out
i got too much soul for the world
it's breaking my heart in two
i got too much soul for you
i don't like it but it's true

look out
i'm just too fake for the world
i know it's just a game to me
i'm just to fake you see
i hope you can forgive me

look out now
i'm too fake

Song of The Day #3: 5 Rebeccas by The View

Hey y'all! Today should've been song of the day #5, I know but the past 3 days had been the most chaotic day in the history of my life!! 3 nights straight without sleeping and drank 5 jugs of coffee to help me stay awake is FUCKING CRAZY!!! Seriously, I was so stressed out and even the slightest small thing could make me go mad. Okay, enough of my ranting.

While I was stressing out like a bitch over my assignments, there was this 1 song that I always listen to keep sane and the song is "5 Rebeccas". The music is totally rad but mind blowing!! The lyrics are random to me because some of it don't even make sense but still that's why I freaking love this song. The whole rad and randomness makes this song soo COOL and KICK ASS!!

The View are an indie band from Dundee, Scotland and their scottish accent is very recognizable in their songs! Yeah, adorable isn't it?? :D

5 Rebeccas
I love the dress sense and the colour of your hair
The way you say that people who are working, they are aiming to be posh, my dear
People flocked around you by the smokeys in our school
Teacher's, they contained all their anger as you regularly broke their rules
And everyone done the pill,
but solvent abuse it can kill

The first taste of heaven there was splattered on your screen
Floating with schemers and the part-time Halloweeners and the Lochee team
And everyone done the pill,
but solvent abuse can kill

5 Rebecca's, all of them are close to me
One of them's a cock, and one of them does history
One of them's my niece, and one lives close
And the one I love the most has turned into a junkie

So under satisfied with minors at your age
And something so deceiving when you find yourself conceiving on a holy day
So unachievable with minors at your height,
and something so deceiving when you find yourself conceiving on a Sunday night
Everyone done the pill, but solvent abuse can kill

5 Rebecca's, all of them are close to me
One of them's a cock, and one of them does history
One of them's my niece, and one lives close
And the one I love the most has turned into a junkie

Poor Miss. Rebecca, you'll be missed my girl
Wasn't for the treasure you'd be rich my girl
Saved your from the terrier and your so called friends,
took a back seater but they killed it in the end though,
You're sitting really cozy in your humble black cave
It doesn't seem likely for a girl your age
Us cupid little kids can never look back,
when one of us is lying in a big brown bag

Oh oh oh
Oh oh oh

5 Rebecca's, all of them are close to me
One of them's a cock, and one of them does history
One of them's my niece, and one lives close
And the one I love the most has turned into a junkie

5 Rebecca's, all of them are close to me
One of them's a cock, and one of them does history
One of them's my niece, and one lives close
And the one I love the most has turned into a junkie

I love the dress sense and the colour of your hair
They way you say that people who are working
I can tell you, that's a touch my dear

Song of the day #1: In The Morning by The Coral

This indie band is amazing!!! The band, The Coral are an English band formed in 1996 in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula in MerseysideThe band's music is a mixture of old-fashioned country, 1960s-style psychedelia and folk with modern rock influences. I've been listening to the band since 2007 and among all of their song, "In The Morning" is my most favorite. Enjoy and LONG LIVE INDIE MUSIC!!

In The Morning

Shut the bedroom window in the morning
Go to the shop, make plans to be leaving
In the morning
Thought I was sleeping, it was just a dream
An ally cat chewing on dead meat
In the morning

Out of the dark and into the light
When the morning comes I will be alright

When I leave I try not to wake her
Here's a toast to yesterday's capers
In the morning

She wrote my name on a red telephone box
When I got there she'd already rubbed it off
In the morning

Out of the dark and into the light
When the morning comes I will be alright

And all this time I've watched it change
But it's still the same

In the morning
In the morning
In the morning
In the morning
